Dr. Patricia “Pat” Spearman is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, ordained minster, and the first lesbian member of the Nevada State Legislature. During her 29 years in the U.S. Army, Pat served around the world with her final assignment being at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
As a two-term State Senator, Pat has successfully introduced and passed numerous pieces of legislation from the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment in 2017 – 35 years past the deadline set by Congress – to job creation by diversifying Nevada’s renewable energy sources. Holding a PhD in Business Administration with an emphasis on energy policy, Pat is uniquely qualified in today’s emerging energy economy.
