So when I got an email reminder from Museum Macan that it was the last weekend for its contemporary art exhibition on March 9 and 10, I jumped at the chance. There’s nothing like art to reduce stress, stimulate one’s brain and revive flagging spirits! There were exhibitions by Arahmaiani, one of Indonesia’s most respected, multitalented artists; Lee Mingwei, a renowned Taiwanese artist living in Paris and the United States, and On Kamara a Japanese conceptual artist whose “One Million Years” is about the passage of time, on “society’s use of dates to give materiality to the elusiveness of time”. “To give materiality to the elusiveness of time”? THE HALLOUMI application was put on hold by the Commission because of four new demands made by our foreign ministry after the common understanding was reached in Nicosia. I hope Prez Nik will remember to mention the moving forward of the Astromeritis guard post when he is reporting Turkey’s provocations to European and international forums. It is a Turkish reprisal for Prez Nik going back on the halloumi agreement of July 2015.

Australia's Heavy TV recently conducted an interview with frontman Freddy Lim of Taiwanese metallers CHTHONIC, who also is a part of Taiwan's parliament. I was very into death metal and black metal. Over ten years, we improved our styles and more into Taiwanese styles to mix with Taiwanese things, but at the same time, there has been so many different movements happening in Taiwan as well. How can I get involved in the society to make things better? I make these two things separate. I didn't really write music based on political messages and I didn't try to play my music in the political [sphere] either. Metal is not that kind of music. In metal, come on. It's a release for our emotions, but on the other hand, there are so many strong messages in all of these metal bands, all kinds of messages. I know so many metalheads who know more about Scandinavian culture, history because they love all of those Scandinavian black metal bands.
