Mark Cuban floats presidential run as an independent

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said Thursday he would consider running for president as an independent. The business mogul was asked at a conference in Atlanta if he would run for president and said it was something he was “seriously considering,” the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. “Maybe I run as an independent,” he said. “I don’t know. I’m for smaller government ... Cuban supported Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton during the presidential race and has criticized Trump and his policies, even after saying last May that he would be open to being a running mate for either candidate. President Trump tweeted in February that Cuban was “not smart enough” to run for president. Cuban added that family life would be a consideration in whether to run, noting that his wife's thoughts would weigh on the decision.
