Prime Minister Justin Trudeau works very hard on his public image. In his former job, he was highly respected as the Deputy Leader of the NDP at Queen’s Park. And Trudeau was faced with headlines such as “Pioneering party leader could be the Trudeau Canada hoped for.” Singh had both substance and style. While rumours were brewing that Trudeau would do the same, he balked and showed he wanted to play hard ball with Singh. Singh’s failure to connect with voters is due to the political machinations of “angel politician” Trudeau. Regardless of Trudeau’s ill-will towards Singh, he will now face a liberal in the upcoming by-election followed by a general election in the fall.
