WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump, legendary among U.S. Presidents for his aversion to reading, demanded on Thursday that members of his White House circle act out Michael Wolff’s new book, “Fire and Fury,” in a command performance in the Oval Office. According to those who witnessed the dramatic presentation, Jared Kushner played the role of Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump played the role of Ivanka Trump, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders played Steve Bannon. Sources who sat through the private performance of “Fire and Fury” said that Sanders’s portrayal of Bannon was particularly impressive. “Sarah’s a natural,” one source said. “At the end of the day, acting is just lying.” But the performer who “stole the show,” according to one source, was Eric Trump, who was cast in the role of his father. “Eric played his dad like a bumbling, spoiled idiot who couldn’t do anything right,” the source said. “It was the role of a lifetime for him.” The President, who sat stone-faced as the spectacle unfolded, became increasingly angry and agitated, especially as he witnessed Kellyanne Conway’s scathingly sarcastic portrayal of herself. Reportedly, after Conway mimed putting a finger gun to her head for the fifth time, Trump grabbed his remote and tried to turn her off.

President Donald Trump has moved to dissociate himself from son-in-law Jared Kushner who could be the next target in an FBI investigation against Trump. As soon as the news broke, President Trump was quick to unfollow Kushner on Twitter and gave a brief statement on their relationship to the press. ‘Jared Kushner is fake news. I’ve never even met the guy. My wife – I mean my daughter – Ivanka tells me he follows her around a lot but he’s just some creep,’ said Trump. When questioned on the hundreds of pictures of Donald and Jared together, President Trump was quick with an answer. ‘You can do a lot of amazing things on computers these days. I mean, they’re bad but they look so real. You can even put the heads of women you like onto the bodies of naked women. But you can,’ he replied.

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump were each fined after they failed to submit financial reports required by the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) on time, McClatchy reported Tuesday. This is the second time Kushner has missed the deadline to file the forms and his second fine for doing so. Kushner and Trump were fined $200 each over the most recent missed deadline. The financial disclosure forms submitted by Trump and Kushner also included different values for their personal assets. Some of those values had discrepancies of hundreds of thousands of dollars, according to McClatchy. For example, Trump reportedly listed a partial stake in a New Jersey shopping center as being valued at less than $1,001, while Kushner said it was worth more than $1 million. Kushner had amended his financial disclosure forms 39 times after receiving an 18-day extension, according to McClatchy. Federal employees are rarely fined over submitting forms late — former OGE director Walter Shaub told The Hill in August that he had never heard of OGE fining a non-OGE employee.
