Smoke-free air is up to all of us Regarding the Coloradoan article "Smoking citations down almost 90 percent” (Nov. 24), the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment thanks Fort Collins Code Enforcement and Police Services for public education and enforcement of the city’s smoking ordinance. Children understand that smoking is bad for health and that Fort Collins has strong smoke-free policies. Jane Wonch, Fort Collins Federal tax assertion was questionable In his recent letter to the editor, Jeff Pace said, “… tax revenues are at an all-time high.” While I don’t know where Pace got his “facts,” there are any number of potential sources. Our six children attended public schools. I believe in public education. My reasons for opposing Amendment 73 included: I will never vote for tax rates to be included in the state constitution. Tax rates belong in state statutes. I will always oppose graduated income taxes. Your local team of diabetes educators is a great place to start; now is a good time to take action.
