TENNESSEE DOES NOT CONSIDER FEAR OF COVID-19 A VALID ABSENTEE EXCUSE. You must fall under one of these categories to vote absentee by-mail in Tennessee.
You may, however, apply for absentee by-mail if you or someone you care for determines that they are suscpetible to contracting COVID-19.
A doctor’s note is not required.
If you are a first time voter who registered by mail or online, follow all directions carefully. You may need to include a copy of an ID with your ballot.
