HOW TO VOTE IN SOUTH CAROLINA

Make sure you vote is counted

REGISTER TO VOTE

DEADLINE TO REGISTER BY MAIL: POSTMARKED BY OCTOBER 5

REQUEST YOUR BALLOT

ALL REGISTERED SOUTH CAROLINA VOTERS ARE NOW QUALIFIED TO VOTE ABSENTEE UNDER “STATE OF EMERGENCY” REASON. ABSENTEE BY MAIL APPLICATION FORM

IF YOU HAVE NOT REQUESTED IT BY OCTOBER 20, YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE IT IN TIME TO CAST YOUR VOTE.

Return your form to your county voter registration office as soon as possible by email, mail, fax, or personal delivery.

FILL OUT YOUR BALLOT

Follow the directions on your ballot and sign where indicated. YOU WILL NEED ONE WITNESS SIGNATURE IF YOU CAST YOUR BALLOT AFTER OCTOBER 5. If you are a first time voter who registered by mail or online, follow all directions carefully. You may need to include a copy of an ID with your ballot.

RETURN YOUR BALLOT

Hand deliver your ballot to your County Board of Voter Registration as soon as possible. USPS recommends doing so no later than October 27.

VOTE IN PERSON

OCTOBER 5 – NOVEMBER 2

Check with your county registration office for hours, and don’t forget to bring your photo ID.
