Aaj Tak’s Suraksha Sabha stage saw a raging debate between the representatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party on Tuesday over if the recent Pulwama terror attack and Balakot airstrike were being politicised.

The session, moderated by Aaj Tak TV’s Anjana Om Kashyap, saw questions, answers and rebuttal from the two participants — BJP’s Prakash Javadekar and Congress’s Manish Tewari, citing history, geography and even the ethics followed by the India Today Group.

NOT POLITICS

“We have to understand this is not politics. We just want to protect our nation. That’s it. This is a matter of good governance,” Javadekar said, when asked if the BJP began using the airstrike as a tool for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

“You can call it good governance when people are happy. Desh tab sashakt hota hai jab naujawaanon ke haath mein kaam ho, jab desh khushhaal ho,” Tewari said, in rebuttal.
