Deadly ‘Stand Your Ground’ shooting focus of local and national politics

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – The deadly Clearwater ‘Stand Your Ground’ shooting case is making waves in Washington D.C.

Last Saturday, Markeis McGlockton was laid to rest.

He was gunned down July 19 by Michael Drejka after a dispute over a handicap parking spot.

Drejka claimed it was self defense.

As family and friends said good bye, the debate over the controversial law lives on.

The outcry for justice has been heard in the nation’s capital.
