Donna Brazile Offers Inside Look at Last Year's Campaign

The Story:
The former chair of the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile, has written Hacks, a book offering an inside view of the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton last year, and  insight as to the breakdowns that helped make Donald Trump President.
The Gist of the Book:
The gist of Brazile’s account is that the DNC was starved for money in 2015 (months before Brazil became chair), and at that time it accepted Clinton’s help raising money, effectively wedding itself to her campaign, committing itself to undermining her intra-party opponents, notably Senator Bernie Sanders.
Brazile says that “three titanic egos — Barack, Hillary, and Debbie [Wasserman Schultz, Brazile’s predecessor as chair of the DNC] — had stripped the party to a shell for their own purposes.”
The Thing to Know:
Clinton loyalists have fired back at Brazile. This book is but the latest shot in an ongoing battle for control of the high ground in the Democratic Party.
